The HR-30 rings are manufactured to a number of different specifications.

An aftermarket retrofit ring is cut to be interchangeable with recent Mastertone-style banjos. Custom rings can be cut to fit an existing rim for a small additional fee, and an arch-top to flathead conversion ring can also be cut to fit your rim.

The standard Huber tone ring which is installed in all new Huber banjos is cut with a longer skirt, following the design of the great pre war flathead rings. These will not fit properly in most new banjos. The stock ring which is sold as an accessory item is the aftermarket retrofit ring, which will fit these other modern banjos.

Whenever possible, we strongly urge you to send us your rim so that we can cut a custom ring, perfectly fitted to the rim. We have a process of mating the rim/ring surfaces that is unrivaled in the banjo world, and will ensure the optimum tone and response from your HR-30.

Bottom line... If you have a professional grade banjo with an 11'' inch diameter rim (3/4'' thickness), we can make a ring to fit.
