One of the chief frustrations Steve Huber encountered when he decided to make his own banjos was his inability at the time to find certain banjo components of sufficient quality to meet his expectations. Since Huber Banjos was launched in 2001, he has been building more and more of the parts that go into his banjos, and he plans to keep doing so until he controls the manufacture of nearly every component.
At this time, Huber builds the rims, tone rings, arm rests, coodinator rods, resonators and resonator hardware that goes into a new Huber. He designed these parts not only to deliver the finest components for his own banjos, but to serve as exact retrofit replacement parts on vintage Mastertone banjos as well. Several of these high quality Huber Vintage parts are available for sale to banjo builders, repairmen and hobbyists alike.
Most of these metal parts (except for the tone rings) are fashioned for us by Bryant Metalworks in North Carolina. Chris Bryant is an experienced metalworker, and a serious banjo picker, whose dedication to excellence in his work matches the demands of Huber Banjos.
